Dr. Michael Calhoun brings over 20 years of experience focused on providing high-quality and efficient solutions for image analysis. Mr. Calhoun has led desktop and SaaS application development in digital pathology. Prior to Mindshare Medical, he developed a market-leading platform offering unprecedented consistency and throughput by combining domain knowledge, interactive analyses and machine learning that has been used by leading research institutions and a majority of large pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Samir Chowdhury brings 20 years of leadership in delivering innovative technologies to the health care, medical device, security, and space industries. Prior to Mindshare Medical, Dr. Chowdhury was instrumental in the development and operational growth in global medical imaging and medical laser companies, such as Siemens, Phillips, and GE. Dr. Chowdhury has built several early stage companies commercializing technologies for Molecular Breast Imaging, Pre-Clinical Imaging, space, high energy physics and industrial markets. Dr. Chowdhury has been awarded eight patents and has over 80 peer-reviewed publications and proceedings.

Dr. Ilya Goldberg brings over 20 years of experience in image analysis, machine learning and image informatics. Prior to Mindshare, he led a research group at the NIH National Institute on Aging, where he developed machine learning software for image processing in biology and medicine. Ilya Goldberg co-founded the OME Project, which continues to be used as critical imaging infrastructure for large image repositories. Ilya Goldberg has over 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles from his years at Johns Hopkins, Harvard, MIT, and NIH in molecular and cell biology, pattern recognition, image informatics and the basic biology of aging.

Dr. Jack Kreindler is a physician, physiologist and serial technology entrepreneur. Since 1997, Jack has been instrumental in the design, architecture and leadership of many innovative technology ventures including Douglas Adams’ H2G2.com (acquired by the BBC) and Vielife (acquired by CIGNA). Whilst still practicing as an Emergency Physician from 2002 to 2006, Jack’s incubator BlueOrange Technologies developed the core technology platform for enterprises and high growth start-ups including VisualDNA (online behavioural analytics), GenieDB (geo-distributed cross-cloud DBaaS) and Dictate IT (UK NHS transcription provider). In 2007 Jack founded CHHP in London’s Harley Street. The Center for Health and Human Performance is renowned for its work with athletes, complex cases and celebrities taking on extreme challenges. The concept for Sentrian in 2012 came out of CHHP’s work tackling complex chronic disease combining world experts, the latest biosensor technology and physiological modelling techniques from the worlds of medicine and elite sport science. Jack lectures internationally on the future of medicine and is a guest expert presenter for CNBC, Sky Sport, BT Sport and the BBC.

Dr. Martin Kohn is Chief Medical Scientist at Sentrian. His research work includes healthcare population analytics and the role of expert systems in the clinical decision process. Dr. Kohn is a board-certified emergency physician with over 30 years of hospital-based practice and management experience. He is an alumnus of MIT, Harvard Medical School and NYU, and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives. He is board certified in Clinical Informatics through the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Emergency Medicine and has published multiple articles and book chapters on clinical, technical and management subjects.

Prior to joining Sentrian, Dr. Kohn was the Chief Medical Scientist for Care Delivery Systems in IBM Research where he led IBM’s support for the transformation of healthcare, including development of personalized care, outcomes-based models and payment reform., including the use of the Watson supercomputer in healthcare. He speaks frequently on the issues of healthcare transformation, the role of information technology, the Patient Centered Medical Home and clinical decision support. Dr. Kohn is a co-author of IBM’s white paper “Patient-Centered Medical Home – What, Why and How.” Dr. Kohn was previously in IBM Healthcare Strategy and Change, which helped healthcare systems and clinicians optimize process and make best use of health information technology.
